Project 1

Additive Manufacturing

This project explored the use of CAD and additive manufacturing to create a complex, custom-designed part that traditional methods couldn't produce.

The project involved designing a part with unique features that could only be made through 3D printing. The purpose was to demonstrate the potential of additive manufacturing in industries like aerospace, automotive, and medical devices.

Bridge Design

This project explored the use of various manufacturing techniques to create a bridge that spanned 12", could hold 30 lbs and could fit a 2”x 3”x 2” object through the center.

This project involved creating 3D models of our bridge in CAD software, printing the pieces, creating negative molds of them and then filling those molds with resin. The purpose was to show the properties of different materials and to learn more about calculating Moments and Statics.

Project 2

Majority Votes

This project focused on creating a majority voting system where a board of directors could vote, with the president's vote acting as a tiebreaker in case of a tie. A decision passed if three out of four members voted "yes".

We designed and simulated the voting logic using AND, OR, and Inverter gates, then tested the circuit in Falstad and TinkerCAD before building it on a physical breadboard.
